Joiner-Converter quick start guide
Preparing your PC to work with DirectX multimedia:
Install the DirectX® 8.0 or above. If you have Windows XP® installed you can skip this step. The latest DirectX® version can be found here: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads
To convert the Windows Media® files (WMV, ASF, WMA), install the Windows Media® runtime (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads)
To convert your clips to DivX/XviD, please install the DivX® codec (www.divx.com)
To convert your clips from DVD/MPEG2, please install the free MPEG2 decoding filter (gplmpgdec.sourceforge.net) and AC3 decoding filter (ac3filter.sourceforge.net).
Create your own video composition from video/audio clip fragments using the following steps:
Click the "Add clip" button to specify the source files (video,audio,photo) you want to join or convert
Arrange all listed files in the list in the desired sequence
Double-click the clip in the list to preview it or mark it in or out
Mark the in and out points for each file using the player controls, if necessary
Select the clip you want to use as a transition to the next clip
Click the "Transition" button, type the transition duration and select the appropriate transition type from the list
If you want to change the transition type, double-click the transition and select the appropriate transition type from the list
If you want to preview the future output video, select "Preview Project" from the drop-down menu on the "View" button
Type or browse to the output file name
Select the output file format (AVI,MPEG)
Select the video and audio encoders for AVI, or the output MPEG type and format for MPEG
Select the frame rate and size.
Creating your own video presentation from digital photos using the following steps:
Click the "Add" button to specify the source files (video,audio,photo) you want to join or convert
Arrange all listed files in the list in the desired sequence
Double-click the clip in the list to preview it
Select the viewing duration for each photo in the "Clip Properties"
Select the photo you want to use as a transition to the next.
Click the "Transition" button, type the transition duration and select the appropriate transition type from the list
If you want to change the transition type, double-click the transition and select the appropriate transition type from the list
If you want to preview the future output video, select "Preview Project" from the drop-down menu on the "View" button
Type or browse to the output file name
Select the output file format (AVI,MPEG).
Select the video and audio encoders for AVI, or the output MPEG type and format for MPEG
Select the frame rate and size.
