One of the key features of Joiner-Converter Lite is its ability to merge segments of the video files regardless of their type (AVI, MPEG, and WMV video files are supported for editing). The outcome file types are AVI and MPEG: MPEG-1/MPEG-2 (including DVD, VCD, SVCD).

Easy videoclip navigation and previews allow you to control editing material down to each frame. You can also screen your end-result before loading the entire composition. In the final stage of editing your video, you can preview frames during the conversion.

Now you don't have to waste time or lose the quality of your video when editing AVI files. "Lossless mode" supports editing of AVI files in the DV or other types, where each frame is a keyframe. Cutting and pasting of clips is now done much faster and the quality of each frame is preserved since there is no need to recompress your video!

The "Smart" bit-rate and sample-rate changer will analyze the incoming audio file and select the best choice for the output file based on the maximum quality. If you need the audio file to be more compact, you can choose the file type yourself.

The MPEG/AVI editor may be used with any encoder installed on your system. Moreover, this lets you select the frame size and rate, and set up NTSC or PAL for the output file. Quick start guide.

Joiner-Converter Lite can also be used as a regular video converter to convert files from one type to another. With its help you can easily convert AVI to MPEG-1, WMV to MPEG-2, or MPEG to AVI, etc.

The version 3.x new features let you not just work with video files; they also let you join / cut / convert audio files and extract sound tracks from videos both entirely and by the selected portions.

Your input video files can be in the following types: AVI (including DivX), MPEG (MPEG-1/MPEG-2/DVD/VCD/SVCD), Windows Media (WMV, ASF). Your audio files can be MP3, WAV, AU, AAC, and WMA. For a slide-show or for inserted frames you can use JPEG, BMP, or TGA files.
